A poem should be compelling and mysterious
As the moonlight,
Secretive
As soft whispers to the ears,
Carefree as a flying horse
Of where rain clouds have dampened,
A poem should be silent
As the moonbeams.
A poem should be a sparkle in life
As the stars glimmer,
Soaring, as the sun rises,
The magic colors of nature,
Flying, as the light fades
The written language of beauty--
A poem should be a sparkle in life
As the stars glimmer.
A poem should be equal to:
Something true.
For all the love in the world
An endless journey and silent trial.
For joy
The shimmering waves crash at the shore—
A poem should not speak,
But inspire.
