When you said what you said today
confirmed that I couldn't trust you like in the past
so unlike the friendship long ago
it's true that nothing good can ever last
"All I desired was to walk upon such an earth that had no maps." Michael Ondaatje

Night
I wish I could just let go
so I could enjoy the peaceful night
I would lie under the stars
to bathe in hope, to imbibe the light
I see white horses running by
across the dark and endless sky
I grasp one's mane and then I ride
look above and watch me fly
Together we weave the web of hope
the silvery threads act as a guide
so if you happen to lose your way
you'll always find a path to ride

With You [Written forever ago]
I'll be your candle in the dark
when you've lost your sight
the darkness will go
the brightness will flow
with you I share my light
I'll be your star in the night
when you've lost your way
the evening will lift
the clouds will drift
with you I choose to stay
I love you
I'm always there
I love you
I'll always care
when you've lost your sight
the darkness will go
the brightness will flow
with you I share my light
I'll be your star in the night
when you've lost your way
the evening will lift
the clouds will drift
with you I choose to stay
I love you
I'm always there
I love you
I'll always care

Sweep me up
off the ground
whisper to me
"no need for sound"
Hold me close
in the night
whisper to me
"you're a beautiful sight"
Keep me fond
in your heart
whisper to me
"we're never apart"
Remember tonight
as I cry
as our story fades
in a blink of an eye
off the ground
whisper to me
"no need for sound"
Hold me close
in the night
whisper to me
"you're a beautiful sight"
Keep me fond
in your heart
whisper to me
"we're never apart"
Remember tonight
as I cry
as our story fades
in a blink of an eye
Untitled
Why should I let you control reality?
Let me be whoever I choose to be
Just let me go
And set me free. . .
Let me be whoever I choose to be
Just let me go
And set me free. . .
